Plugin conflict with CookieYes Cookie Consent Bar
-
Howdy,
We use WebToffee’s GDPR cookie consent plugin (AKA CookieYes) on a few of our sites. When both PixelYourSite and the CookieYes plugin are active, there is some kind of conflict in the javascript dependency loaded from PixelYourSite. When clicking the “accept cookies” button in the cookie notification popup provided from CookieYes, the console generates the following code:
Uncaught TypeError: Cannot read properties of undefined (reading 'indexOf') at Object.removeUrlDomain (public.js?ver=8.6.4:1103:24) at Object.compareUrl (public.js?ver=8.6.4:1118:30) at Object.<anonymous> (public.js?ver=8.6.4:1094:34) at Function.each (jquery.min.js?ver=3.6.0:2:3053) at HTMLAnchorElement.<anonymous> (public.js?ver=8.6.4:1093:23) at HTMLAnchorElement.dispatch (jquery.min.js?ver=3.6.0:2:43064) at HTMLAnchorElement.v.handle (jquery.min.js?ver=3.6.0:2:41048)
The file is question is here:
[clientexample.com]/WP/wp-content/plugins/pixelyoursite-pro/dist/scripts/public.js?ver=8.6.4This makes clicking “accept” impossible, meaning users cannot dismiss the notification about cookies. We’ve had to deactivate the PixelYourSite plugin for the time being, please let me know what if anything I can do to make these plugins compatible as we really need to use both.
