• HELP! Every time I make a new post it no longer appears in my homepage. This is my address https://www.felixblog.co.nz.
Whenever I put in the URL it goes to https://felixblog.co.nz/going-back-in-time/ going-back-in-time is a post I made on 25th May and every new post shows up on it’s category page but not the homepage.
I have tried changing categories and looked at several different posts in the forum here and nothing is working.
I am fairly new to all this PHP stuff so please if you can help try to think you are talking to a four year old so I can understand.
    Any help is much appreciated.

    Shaun

  • well, the first place I would look (meaning the easiest solution..lol) is under settings -> reading

what do you have set up in there? Anything strange? It should say you front page is a page of posts.

Yeah I have checked all that before and changed it untold times and nothing fixes it.
Under settings/reading it has front page displays your latest posts so my understanding of that is that it should display the most recent posts but I still have one post stuck there from months ago.
    any other ideas?

It’s working perfectly for me. If I go to https://felixblog.co.nz/ I see the main blog page with 13 posts, the most recent being June 14th’s “New room”.

    Hi,
I have a similar problem. I was posting regularly on my blog with out any problem and everything was fine, suddenly on 19th June 2010 when I posted my latest post, it doesn’t show up on my home page though it is showing up on category page. But if I am logged into my wordpress dashboard and then open my site and view the home page the recent post shows up. I am frustrated can anyone please help. My website url is – https://www.healthnfitnesscare.com/ and my recent post url is – https://www.healthnfitnesscare.com/a-healthy-weight-loss-diet.html

Looking forward to a help from someone!

I’m having the exact same problem as Ravi.

The latest article that shows on the homepage is this, but the latest post is actually this.

I can see the latest post when I’m signed in to the Dashboard, but once I log out, it goes back to the old homepage.

    Please help.

    Hi there,

I’ve got the exact same problem. I upgraded to WordPress 3 and now my “featured” posts won’t “stick” to the homepage. Reading settings are appropriate. Please help.

I think I’ve managed to fix it. On the top right of the dashboard next to the Howdy XYZ | Logout there is a drop down with the option Delete Cache. I activated WP Super Cache from there and now it seems to be showing the latest posts on the homepage. Looks like a clearing of cache was in order. Hope this helps

Well, I have been facing facing the similar problem. Can someone provide the resolution? Thanks!

HundredProof, I don’t have the “Delete Cache” in my drop down menu. It lists new post, drafts, new page, upload, comments. Any idea where else I can find it?

    Hello
I recently set up wordpress and created website and everything was fine. Then yesterday I added an extra category and swapped some blog posts around and wrote one new post and now my home page no longer shows my posts even though in the settings> reading place it says front page is a page of posts.
    P-l-e-a-s-e help….I have no-one else to ask…

i have this same issue. I did move some stuff around in categories as well could this be triggering a bug in wordpress? my Recent Posts widget is not updating with my most recent post so i created a blog roll page to see what the latest post showed on that and that too showed my most recent post as being a post i created 4 posts ago. Where is wordpress support in all this?

I have no cache plugins and have no directives in my htaccess

There is no known bug of this kind. Have you tried:

    – deactivating all plugins to see if this resolves the problem. If this works, re-activate the plugins one by one until you find the problematic plugin(s).

    – switching to the Twenty Ten theme to rule out any theme-specific problems.

resetting the plugins folder by FTP or PhpMyAdmin. Sometimes, an apparently inactive plugin can still cause problems.

    – re-uploading the wp-admin and wp-includes folders from a fresh download of WordPress.

Failing that, I suggest you post a new topic.

    Things I have done:
Researched for about a total of 30+hours
    Disabled cache plugin
    Deleted Cache Plugin
Deleted all folders and files with cache in the name other than the core wp-cache.php
Checked .htaccess and only have the basic wordpress derivatives.
cleared cache cookies and temp files
    rebooted my vps server
reinstalled update using automatic update in admin panel
    change to default theme
    reinstalled main theme
    deleted and reinstalled all plugins
    posted another post
feed shows most up to date info
feed burner also showing most up to date info

    still not working……

and i tried opening a new topic but for some freaking reason they always get deleted. about bout a hour i go back to check responses and my friggin thread is gone everytime and i have no freaking clue why they never tell me squat and its irritating as heck

MasterC3501 – your posts are being flagged by our anti-spam system for some reason, so there may be a delay as it takes human intervention to un-mark them as not spam.
