    Hi!

On the login pages (frontend or backend) of some websites the “Login verification Required” e-mail is being sent always.
Independetly of the browser, and the ‘reCAPTCHA human/bot threshold score’ in the settings.
Just having ‘Run reCAPTCHA in test mode’ activated, no e-mail is being sent (of course ?? ).
What is the problem with Wordfence?

See i. e. these login forms:

    Kind regards,
    Gerald

Hi @dwpro, thanks for getting in touch.

I don’t see any Javascript errors on either login page you provided to suggest there is a problem with the reCAPTCHA elements loading. The /login path looks potentially like a custom or other plugin page. Currently Wordfence reCAPTCHA only works with WooCommerce and default WordPress login/registration pages.

The verification emails are usually triggered by reCAPTCHA itself. Google has been known to give some people a low score, requiring extra verification via email to prove they aren’t a bot. We aren’t in a position to be informed as to why Google’s algorithm comes to this conclusion.

I know you’ve mentioned changing the score already, but we have been successful at usually disabling verification emails when setting the threshold to be 1.0 (Definitely a human). Let me know whether that stops the issue, or if it’s still insisting on confirming a verification email for you and other users.

    Peter.

    Hi!

As already mentioned I even tried the threshold to even be 0.
Just disabling blocking at all prevents users from having to verify before logging in each and every time.
Therefore I do not suspect the reCAPTCHA to be the problem.
What do you think about that?

    Kind regards,
    Gerald

    You think nothing? ??

btw: Disabling the Wordfence option ‘Enable reCAPTCHA on the login and user registration pages’ and using another reCaptcha V3 plugin (i. e. Captcha 4WP) everything works well.
So the real source of the verification e-mails problem is obvious: Wordfence!
