ads not working in google AMP cache
-
Hi guys,
I have an issue due to that 3 days ago, my amp page in google cache have started to not showing up any adsense ads.
Big issue for me because the main traffic come directly from AMP page.I dont really know exactly how AMP google cash works, but what I know is that:
– all work fine with my non-amp page
– all work fine with my amp page (when the browser URL bar says “www.mysite.com/page/?amp=1
– I have ZERO adv in my amp page from google AMP cache (when the browser URL bar says “https://www.google.com/amp/s/www.mysite.com/page/%3famp=1”Nothing has changed and suddently all my visitors coming from google seach resuls (about 80% of my traffics) are accessing to page without any adsense ads.
Using private browser session in chrome, in device mode, the problem is there and in the console I can read “[amp-auto-ads] No ad placements found for publisher ID ‘ca-pub-xxxxxxxxx’. Check that the provided publisher ID is correct.”
I’ve opened also a thread in adsense support but I’m waiting for their replay.
I’m here because maybe is something related to my AMP plugin in.You can test the issue clicking on this google search result using a mobile (or browser in mobile mode). Just clicking on a search result and you should see that no ads are showing up. Just clicking in another page, the session should switch su NON-AMP page and ads will show up.
Additional info: I’m using amp auto ads, amp template mode is “Reader” (i’ve tried to change without any result), option “Redirect mobile visitors to AMP” is not enabled. I’m using Advanced ADS plugin to manage adsense ads.
My questions, to close the picture, are:
— > do you have idea about this issue? not having changed anythink my doubt is also that google decided to do it and stop. Even if I have no alert or any other feedback also in seach console that give me indications
–> how the google cash works? My amp page will show properly the ads, just google cash amp page are affected. If I enable the option “Redirect mobile visitors to AMP” what happen?
–> I woldn’t renounce to AMP, but waiting for the issue resolution, I could force visitors to go in non-amp page (ie. using htaccess) where ads show up, removing the redirect as soon as I have feedback about the issue. Do you see specific risk or do you suggest better approach about it?
Thank you so much
