When i go though admin and want to install Duplicator, i can’t find it.

Maybe it’s me not remembering, hasn’t it been there or why can’t i find it ?

    All the best
    Carsten

  • Hey @boblebad,

It should still be there. If you search for “Duplicator” it should be the first in the list under “Duplicator – WordPress Migration Plugin”.

    Hope that helps~

    Hello @corylamleorg

Thank you for your reply ??

The problem is that it doesn’t ??

Is there anything that can block the search, a hack or ?

    Hey @boblebad,

Yeah if I type in just “Dupli” it doesn’t show either, but if I type in “Duplicator” and hit enter then it works for me, what if you type the full word and hit enter, does that help?

    Hey @corylamleorg

Have they changed how the seach function works ?

My memory tells me that it sorted per letter and not that i needed to know the whole word i was searching for, That’s often problem, not know exactly the name to search for.

I think you are right it used to search as your typing, but it is possible they removed it as every keystroke would mean a request to the WP servers, so it’s possible to cut back on the bandwidth they changed it with the latest release…

Hmm, that’s of course understandable, but it’s problem for many users finding the plugin they search for.

Take “wp all import”, which is one of the best import plugins – This is only the name for the pro version. The free version has a completely different name, “Import any XML or CSV File to WordPress”.

So the only way to be sure now is to use Google and then take the found name and put into the repository search.
