I am unable to use the ‘wc_order_statuses’ filter to filter the order statuses available when editing an order from the WooCommerce app. I set the filter to return an empty array as a test and it still shows all the options. I need to be able to filter these so the behavior is the same within the app as it is in the admin dashboard.

  • Hello,

This is a fairly complex development topic. I’m going to leave it open for a bit to see if anyone is able to chime in to help you out.

I can also recommend the WooCommerce Developer Resources Portal for resources on developing for WooCommerce.

You can also visit the WooCommerce Facebook group or the #developers channel of the WooCommerce Community Slack.

I’ve reviewed the resources, and even tried parsing the order ID from the rest route parameter in the URL used to query the order info. It seems like either the app has these statuses hard-coded to where all statuses are available for all orders, or perhaps the WooCommerce REST API doesn’t apply this filter. I am seeing the filter triggered but as mentioned previously, when attempting to just return an empty array (that should result in no statuses available) or trying to remove any of the statuses, it doesn’t appear to have any affect, so perhaps the filter is being triggered by something else in the REST API request.

As earlier mentioned, we’ll leave this open, however, you can post this in the facebook group or Woo slack community mentioned above for further assistance

    Hi there,

We’ve not seen any activity on this thread for a while, so I’m marking this thread as resolved in accordance with our Guide to the WooCommerce forum.

If you’re a developer and need more inputs on this topic we’d recommend consulting the official WooCommerce development partners via this link: https://woocommerce.com/customizations/.

    Thanks.

Well there’s no activity because I was told to go elsewhere for support, not because the issue is resolved. The Slack channel also yielded no assistance, or even responses to my issue.

That’s correct @machineitsvcs. We’re unable to help with customizations on this forum as explained in our Support Policy – https://woocommerce.com/support-policy/#customization.

I understand that this is not actually resolved for you but we have pointed you to the right resources to get this sorted and we have no other way to close a thread other than changing the status to resolved.

    Thank you for your understanding.
