    Hello,

I really like the new Site Kit Plugin and thank you guys for delivering this Plugin for WordPress creators.

That being said, I’m having an issue with Analytics. When I’m having let’s say 40 visits on a website. I only see 4 or 5 visits in my dashboard.

I configured Analytics directly from SiteKit and not in Google Analytics site.

Can you please tell me what is the issue here ??

    Thank you
    Sincerely, Ahmed

    Hi Ahmed,

Thanks for getting in touch here in the forums. and glad to hear you’re enjoying the plugin. We appreciate your kind words.

I’ve checked your site using tagassistant.google.com and also inspected your site manually. With that I can see a non Site Kit placed snippet (UA-18*****41-1) placed.

In my case each time I’ve inspected on your site my own visits were being tracked. As we can only assist with Site Kit related queries here in the plugin support forums unfortunately you’ll need to reach out to the Analytics Help Center for further queries and troubleshooting with Analytics. I did notice a defer and data-deferred="1" attribute added to your Analytics tracking ID, so this may be something you can check or perform some troubleshooting steps with.

You may also choose to allow Site Kit to place the Analytics snippet for you if you wish. A Site Kit placed Analytics snippet doesn’t include such attributes.

If performing some checks with a Site Kit placed snippet note also that the default configuration with a Site Kit placed snippet doesn’t include Analytics tracking for logged in users. This however can be changed using the Analytics configuration within Site Kit. (“em>Site Kit > Settings > Connected Services > Analytics > Edit”/em>).

Sorry we can’t be of more assistance. If you have any issues when switching to a Site Kit placed snippet without modification let us know and we’d be happy to troubleshoot with you for any setup or Site Kit related queries.
