[Plugin: Simple Facebook Connect] sfc-comments.php cannot be modified?

  • Why is it that if I try to modify the sfc-comments.php it breaks the plugin??

    What am I trying to modify? The CSS in line 199 for example. Or, the logout redirect on line 231.

    I will predict that at least one response to this question is going to be “why do you need to modify anything, leave it alone”… but that is not an answer to the question. So please Mr. Otto, why in the world does it break this plugin?

    The only way to get it back is to completely overwrite that file with a fresh copy of the sfc-comments. It won’t even work if I undo all the changes and save to the server. Weird.

    Well, I don’t know. You can modify it all you want, really.

    I suspect that your modification breaks the plugin because your modification is wrong in some way.
