Hello,
I am currently creating a website on WordPress locally, with WampServer.
Following a bad manipulation, I can’t access my website anymore.
So I reinstalled WP locally and recreated a new blank database. When I arrive on the WP dashboard, I install UpdraftPlus, activate it and set my settings because my backups are on Google Drive.
All this part goes very well, it’s afterwards that it doesn’t work.
I tried several times to do a full restore and I get an error message related to Wamp, apparently.

I also tried to follow the recommendation of UpdraftPlus, restoring first the downloads, then the themes, then the extensions and finally, at the same time, the Others + database.
Downloads, themes and extensions are successfully restored. However, as soon as I want to restore the Others + my database, I get again the same error message as before.
After that, it is again impossible to access my new WP site and I have to start again the creation of a new database in phpMyAdmin, then a new folder in wamp64/ www and finally paste the content of a blank WP database.
So I can’t restore my backup.
Could you help me?

Hi,

A ‘500 Internal Server error’ is a generic error code that indicates that ‘something’ has gone wrong on the server itself.

Please check your local server settings. Try increasing the site memory and maximum_execution_timeout.

Would also help if you can send us the restoration log.
You can find this log in the ‘wp-content/updraft’ directory of your site via FTP.
You can send the log file and copy the contents into an online tool (such as https://pastebin.com/ )

I can’t check my local server settings. I’m a novice and until I did something wrong on my site, everything was working fine.

Hi,

There appears to be an issue with the database. Try manually restoring it via phpMyAdmin. We have a guide here – https://updraftplus.com/faqs/i-want-to-restore-but-have-either-cannot-or-have-failed-to-do-so-from-the-wp-admin-console/
