Search Console “Missing field video (optional)

  • Although I have plenty of videos in this particular post, Search Console is saying it’s valid with the warning Missin field video. There are both embedded videos in the recipe card instructions as well as the video attached to the recipe card itself. I can see the videos myself and they’re fine. I have cleared cache, viewed in a private window, etc. Any ideas why this might be happening?

    Hi there,

    It’s referring to the main recipe video, which does indeed seem to be there. What’s the exact embed code you’ve put in the recipe video field?

    Brecht, it’s good to know I’m not the only person up in the middle of the night (California here). I’m using YouTube’s own embed link. https://youtu.be/cYpOg0gL6BA. Should I be using something else?
