Hi, using Custom Fields taxonomy/category field – when editing or creating a new post the selected category will not apply – it stays with ‘uncategorized’. But when I use the individual field group from the front-end builder (element or) it does work. I need to use Extended so I can remove a few categories in the Post creation/editor.

    Hello,

    Thanks for the feedback!

Sorry but I’m not quite sure to understand the question. If you’re refering to the native ACF Taxonomy field, and want to use it in the back-end, then you should use the “Save Terms” setting. See documentation.

For the ACF Extended Front-End Forms, you can simply map the field in the Post Action “Post Terms” settings under the “Save” tab.

    Hope it helps!

    Have a nice day!

    Regards.
