    WooCommerce database update required

    WooCommerce has been updated! To keep things running smoothly, we have to update your database to the newest version. The database update process runs in the background and may take a little while, so please be patient. Advanced users can alternatively update via WP CLI.

    We don’t have a functionality issue that we are aware of … but this banner is always displayed, even immediately after completing the update.

    everything is current … no errors we are aware of, however WC_system_status reports the database version as 3.1.0

    thoughts?

  • Look in the _wc_admin_notes table for a row with the name wc-update-db-reminder. In the “status” area change it to be actioned and update. Please let us know if this resolves your problem. Have a blessed day.

    WooCommerce database version: 6.1.0

    Great! Now that you updated the database, your site will run smoothly, and the sign to update your DB must have disappeared.

    I’ll mark this thread as resolved now. Let us know if anything comes up by opening a new one.

    this is so bizarre … i thought it best to attach this to the original ticket.

    within 24 hours the message returned (WooCommerce database update required WooCommerce has been updated!) … though no further wc update has occurred, still at 6.1.0
    AND
    the database version has reverted back to 3.1.0 ?!!!

    and before you ask, no there is no backup/restore that is doing any sort of background reversion to an older date.

    this is weird!
