Visual Link Preview – PDFs

    If my pdf is in my wp media file, is there any way to use visual link preview to link to the pdf?
    I’m using the plugin for media coverage and sometimes I have to use a pdf of the article rather than a link.
    Or…have a better suggestion?

    Sure, you could link to the URL of that PDF.

    You can find the “File URL” when clicking on that PDF in the Media page in the backend.

    Oops. I should have mentioned the reason I ask is because when I copy my pdf url from the wp media library and add it to the visual link as an external url, it doesn’t seem to populate. No image or text or file appears like it does with a link. Maybe I’m doing something wrong…

    That’s normal. It won’t be able to automatically pick up an image or summary from a PDF file. But you can manually add those in the sidebar.
