    Hello there,

I would like to track user clicks on our form button. Google Tag Manager has this option it works and transfers the clicks to Analytics and Adwords. In GTM I use the “Click Classes” for the “link trigger”. But how do I configure GTM that it tracks the clicks and uses Complianz’ cookie consent as well?

    Any suggestions?

    Kind regards

    Frank

    Hi @pixelbiz,

From the top of my head, these are triggers in itself and should have an exception.

    You could try this: https://complianz.io/using-exceptions-in-tag-manager-based-on-consent-status/

    Hello @aahulsebos:

Thanks for your quick response. I did not find a solution on the “exception” page. I set up the 1st party cookie variable as described. But on the trigger setup I did not find a “Consent Statistics” option. Back to the variable settings: I have chosen “cmplz_event_0” and the “cmplz_event_marketing” option. No changes.
Also the exception page does not provide information on how to setup the tag. I used the standard GA-event tag. But whatever option I have chosen the tag is not fired.
    Hopefully you have a solution.

    Kind regards

    Frank

    Hi @pixelbiz,

I will try as well to make sure the article is correct.

When I started with the link trigger, I saw: Wait for event…

In this case you could use the cmplz_event_marketing event and see if this works,

I’ll be back on this tomorrow.

    regards Aert
