I wanted to test a new PHP en chore WP version of my website in production. To do this, I created a staging environment on my computer. I made a backup of the production files using FileZilla and a back up of my production database. I created a testdatabase in staging and restored the production database into the empty test database, and granted proper rights to the user.
I followed the installation instructions, as stated in your documentation.
by the installation wizard of WordPress, I filled the requested fields.
After this, I copied the backed up files onto the just installed wordpress directory.
I updated the wp-config with test database information, created in MyPhPAdmin staging.

My Problem now is that when I navigate to the back end ( localhost/[wordpress]/wp-admin), I end up on the back end of the production environment.
Also when I select any page on the front end, I am forwarded to the production environment.
Must be a link somewhere that I have missed.
I looked everywhere, including in the database, but I am not getting any further.
    Can someone help me?
    thanks in advance
