    Hi.

I need help in trying to accomplish a change on my personal photoblog. I currently have my home page displaying my latest posts. Under the slider, those posts appear in two columns with a photo thumbnail and a brief excerpt of the text accompanying the photo. What I would like to do is show 3 columns and only the photos with hovering showing the post title. I have looked at the settings over and over and don’t see how to accomplish that. How can I do it? Would an extra CSS entry solve the problem? If yes, what is the code?

Thanks for reading and providing ideas.

  • Hey,

Not sure how your ticket flew under the radar, but apologies for the delay in response!

Unfortunately this is not possible in the free theme. You could use Kadence Blocks Pro to build this type of layout, but I’m not aware of a free option that works at this moment.

You can absolutely adjust some of the layout with CSS, but you will not be able to get the look that you’re after.

With CSS, you could remove the text and the title completely, or restyle it a bit, but moving these items over the photo would require much more customization.

You could use the “Query Loop” block within your page content to create a more custom blog loop on your home page. Here is some documentation regarding that option:

Let us know if this helps! Feel free to followup with any additional questions you may have and we’ll be happy to help however we can.

    Best,
