Update: I’ve just tested with a clean install of WordPress 5.8.3, Easy Digital Downloads 2.11.4.1 and EDD Block Editor1.0 running on PHP 8.0.8

I do not get any error and the editor screen works okay.

Could it be a conflict with another plugin or your theme? Can you share your other (EDD) plugins?

i have checked again and I noticed, the problem with only “The “Download” post types converted from “JoomUnited Wp File Manager post type”.
in PHP 7.4 there is no problem but when I go 8.0 or 8.1 I am getting that error.
also thee is no problem on “Add New Download”

The EDD Block Editor plugin does not use block_categories so it must be coming from the post content. I suspect in each of these converted posts there is a block that needs to be edited or updated to not use block_categories anymore.

Does the error remain when you open such a converted download for editing and then resave? Or do you see blocks that show an error inside the editor instead of the expected content? Are these converted downloads using any special (non-core) blocks, from other plugins?

i have found the quilty one. its EDD All Access plugin
everything work when I have disabled it.
and I am seeing that error in my server logs.

and the interesting thing is

coming from another plugin group : analitfy pro, analitfy edd ….
but it doesn’t blocking to work. just the error message appears if Wp debug is open.
