Comments off, but I want them on

    My blog at https://wes.plate.net has many old posts that I wish to leave comments disabled for, but for new posts I want to be able to enable comments. However several newer posts say “Comments off” even though I have Settings->Discussion->Allow people to post comments on new articles and Allow Comments in the individual posts both enabled.

    For example https://wes.plate.net/2010/03/playing-vj/ has comments turned off, however this post accepted a comment today https://wes.plate.net/2010/06/5-bars-with-att-3g-microcell/

    I vaguely remember in 2008 doing something with MySQL to prevent new comments from being accepted on my existing posts, but I wouldn’t think that should be affecting new posts.

    Or any other ideas how I can get comments working?

    Never mind, I overlooked Automatically close comments on articles older than [30] days, I turned this off and the older posts can now receive comments.
