• When registering a new user:

    If you try a username that already exists, I get this error message:
    The username you entered is incorrect

    If you try an email that already exists, I get this error message:
    The email you entered is incorrect

    How and where do I edit these error messages?

    I followed the tutor up to Edit E-mail address field
    Custom validation
    user_email_details
    Then i went tio Settings . Appearance
    i don’t find a Customize tab …
    is that maybe only available in the pro version of the Ultimate Member plugin?

    In alternative: may I add the action(‘um_custom_field_validation_user_email_details’ ? somewhere else? e.g. in a php file? (of course it will be lost at each new version update…)
