Unfiltered HTML

  • I have been looking at the features included in WP 3
    A lot of it looks very exciting, with quite a learning curve ahead.

    One thing worries me however :
    right at the bottom of the page I found that WP 3 will

    Introduce constant DISALLOW_UNFILTERED_HTML to disallow unfiltered_html for all users, even admins and super admins

    What does this mean ? And will it be possible to turn it off ? Drupal, for example allows different levels of users to use filtered or unfiltered HTML.

    I am one of many people who considers that they understand HTML well enough to use it without it being interfered with by WordPress (which introduces line breaks and paragraphs where they are not required or desired – to name just 2 annoyances) and I have already left a few posts on the subject.

    Could someone please clarify the situation ?

    Probably cause at the time we didn’t know the answer, and then it fell off the radar.

    Speaking as a user of 3.1, I think that idea was dropped, since I can still use unfiltered HTML as a super admin on a network (and an admin on a single install of WP). Either that, or they were talking about the use of unfiltered HTML in COMMENTS only, which did change.
