The option to disable (or enable) avatars is only available on the individual site (either when using the Site Wise feature or exempting the site from being managed with the network settings and then going to Settings > Discussion).

I need a way to disable the avatars across all the sites of the network without configuring each one, like the plugin used to do. Can the option be brought up to the network level? Before this latest update, we weren’t showing avatars and now they are appearing.

    Thanks!
    Dan

    Hi @danbeach ,

    Thanks for pointing this out.
I will talk to our dev team next working day and let you know if we can bring that option to the Main Network as well.

Since the main network level doesn’t have a Discussion menu hence it might be tricky. But we will definitely find a way to bring that option to a network level of Multisite Network.

I would recommend you have some patience with this. I will get back to you Sunday with an update from our dev team don’t worry.

    Hi @danbeach ,

As I promised, I’ve discussed with our dev team regarding this today.
Also, we’ve implemented the Avatar Settings for Multisite Network today which is now on a testing phase.

You can also try our dev version from here: https://d.pr/f/yIYmBG

You can select Disable Avatar for your entire network from your main network like this: https://d.pr/i/Y6ZVIQ

Let me know how it goes with this dev version. Hopefully, we will release it this week.

    Cheers!
