• Hi,

I wonder if you can help. This seems like a strange one, but I have a Contact Form 7 on this page https://www.leedsfitnessoffer.co.uk/garforth-pudsey that when I use my email address as the recipient it works fine, when I add a second email addfess it works fine, but then I add a specific third email it stops the form delivering to any of the addresses. They are separated by “, ” and as I say it works fine with the first email addessses but stops when I add the third.

Have you any idea what the problem might be.

    cheers

    See Setting up mail

What email settings do you have in the Mail tab panel?

To protect personal data, hiding email addresses in the settings or replacing them with dummy addresses is strongly advised. You can also include screenshots.

    Hi,

Thanks you for your reply, I cant see where to upload a screenshot to this so I have uploaded it here: https://www.leedsfitnessoffer.co.uk/garforth-pudsey/wp-content/uploads/2021/12/mailtab.png .

As I mentioned, the form works until I add this specific third email address. And this specific email address stops the form delivering to any of the other email addesses where before it delivered fine to the original two. Basically the third emnail address stops the form working.

The hosts have suggested that the specific email address, that stops the form working at allhmay have spam filters set up, but I dont see how this would affect the other two email addresses that worked previously.

Any suggestions would be appreciated. It is definitely something to do with the ‘Sepcific’ email address

    cheers

    Hi,
Also, sorry forgot to mention, the submissions are being recorded in the database by using CF7 DB just not being delivered to any recipients once that ‘Specific’ email address is added. It works fine when just my email, or two of my different email addresses are used.

I don’t know what you mean by the “third email address”. The screenshot image is blurred, but I can see there is only one email address in the To field.

    Hi,

Sorry. The third email address is the email address I need this form to deliver to (the one on the screenshot). Email address one and two are email addresses I used for testing the form. So, the form works with test email addreses one and two but then stops working all together when I add the third email address or simply use the third email address instead of the test emails.

The form works with my email address, it also works with a second email address of mine, it also works with a combination of the two, ie two recipients.

The form stops working at all when I add the third email address that this formactually needs to deliver to.

So the problem is a specific email address, but I dont know why its inclusion would stop the form working alltogether.

    cheers

Do you get any response message after you submit the form?

    Hi,
Yes it says ‘Thank you for your message. It has been sent.’ And it is recorded in the database by using the CF7 DB plugin. Its just that when you try to use the .gov.uk email address the form doesn’t d3eliver to the recipient.

    Hi,
Thanks for this, I haven’t heard back from my website admin, and since you and the hosts both suggest the same as the problem, ie spam filters then I will assume that that they have managed to woork out the problem.
    cheers
