• Resolved spencer

I’ve been using AIOSEO for years and think very highly of it, but have come across and issue with the sitemaps that I cannot fathom out how to fix. I have been updating pages on our sites, but they are not being acknowledged in the sitemap itself.

The “Last Updated” field shows dates that are wildly different to the updates I am carrying out on the site. Is there a setting that I can adjust to ensure they are registered?

    Thank you in advance.

    So sorry, it’s here:

For instance, I updated this page yesterday:

@carlspencer this is a known issue that we’re fixing in the next update (4.1.6). It’s a visual bug and doesn’t affect the actual contents of your sitemap.

If you’d paste this in your browser, you can verify that the dates are correct in the source code –

    view-source:https://www.visitcamelford.co.uk/sitemap.xml

Our stylesheet is displaying the wrong date (it’s grabbing it from the homepage I believe). You can safely ignore this for now; it should be resolved with the next update. It does not affect how search engines crawl your website since they only look at the source code and don’t care about the stylesheet.
