    Hi,

We have used this plugin in a learning website so that students can set up 2FA. My question is if the student enables the 2FA without setup through QR code or private key. How can I undo that action without affecting 2FA of other students (One solution is to just disable the 2FA for all the user roles, but that is not applicable in this case because there are a lot of users in this user role).

2nd question is, there are 2 private keys that are available for setup, 1st is little lengthy and it is working in the google authenticator app, and second is little short and its not working in google authenticator, can you please tell me what is the use of the 2nd key?

    Thanks!

    Hi @faiz1234,

Thanks for your interest in my plugin.

To disable TFA for a single user in the free version of this plugin, you can install a free plugin like “User Switching” in order to switch to that user’s account when you are logged in as an admin; then go to their settings and disable it. The Premium version of this plugin contains admin management tools for other users in the admin dashboard as an alternative.

The second version of the private key was shown in the original version of this plugin because apparently some tools wanted you to type it in (we forked this plugin about 6.5 years ago). But frankly, in recent years, I’ve not come across any that still want that version, and I plan to remove it in a future release.

    David
