• Resolved carryoncoding

    Hi,
    We’re using PODS v2.8.8.1 and WP v5.82.
A user has reported that when editing a POD with a WYSIWYG (Visual Editor) field, all the visual capability has been removed. Instead it is simply a text editor.

I read about enabling the REST API setting, but this hasn’t changed behaviour.

Do you know how to fix this? Is it a known problem? Is it particular to this version?
    Many thanks,
    Phil.

    Hi @carryoncoding

What field settings are you using?
This could also be a plugin conflict since Pods 2.8 (React): https://docs.pods.io/faqs/plugin-theme-conflicts/

    Cheers, Jory

Thanks Jory – good spot – that’s exactly what it is.

The plugin “Black Studio TinyMCE Widget” was installed to add a visual editor to widgets. Of course, it is now redundant with Gutenberg “Block widgets”.

Interesting that the fault it created should result in precisely the opposite behaviour!

    Many thanks,
    Phil.

Same solution for me. Disabled Black Studio TinyMCE Widget and it’s back to normal.

Not using Gutenberg blocks for anything but it guess the core editor replaces old editor.. or something..

    Cheers
