You can simply use this free plugin to change the terms order. After changing the terms order you need to re update our plugins term selection.

Hi,
Whilst this plugin may allow you to sort Taxonomies, I can’t seem to sort ‘Terms’ in Category Ajax Filter pro.

It says…
Terms Select Terms That You Want To Show On Frontend. Default: 5/ASC ORDER

Is there any way of changing this from ASC order. Ideally I’d like them sorted by date.
