internet explorer display issues

Hi
I am designer that has designed my new web portfolio based on wordpress after seeing so many brilliant sites.

The theme im using I have coded from scratch, but it has issues with IE and doesnt display properly

I have read the issues about copy and pasting but am pretty sure I have not done that anywhere

Any help would be greatly appriciated as I want to get this working ASAP!
