Separate posts on different pages

  • Hello.

    How do i setup a website, that has news + blog on the same wordpress site?

    I want to have news section on one page and blog on another, so how i modify the posts so its on two pages? Can it be done with categories somehow?

  • Set up 2 categories – News and Blog. You can file individual posts under as many different categories as you want.

    Which page i display as posts page or i dont?

    Unless you intend to have a static front page, you don’t need to choose a specific posts page. All posts will show on the front page (unless you add a custom query to your theme’s index.php file) and the categories should have their own listing pages as well.

    Hmm, how do i link the categories, where the posts are to the page i want em to display on?

    Sry for this, i’ve only had one posts page before.

    Use wp_list_categories in your theme’s template files or the Categories widget in Appearance/Widgets.
