    Hi there.

I have a problem with the Error 400 to identify the Google Account in order to activate it to the plugin in the WordPress installation. I couldn’t find this type of error (400) in the instructions you left as documentation.

I’ve been reading some topics in other forums but it results impossible to me to fix it with the info found.

I would really appreciate if you could help me with this last step.

    Thanks in advance.
    Tony @ Dandelium.

    `Hi Sayontan.

Thank you for your help and attention.

When I try to authenticate the account (Step 1 in ‘Authentication’ of the plugin page) in order to get the token, a message of Error 400 displays:
    https://bit.ly/3owIoOK

(It is in Spanish but you can read an automatic Google Translation here ? https://bit.ly/32VgWBR).

I think that I’ve done correctly all the steps you recommend to us in the instructions, hope ??

Please, let me know if you could need more info or screenshots about my setup process.

Thanks again and regards from Spain.

Extremely sorry – I didn’t get notified when you posted this, so I wasn’t able to respond earlier. Hope this is not too late.

What type of a client did you set up? A “Desktop app” (documentation step 7a), or a “Web application” (step 7b)?

The redirect URL (or redirect URI) is required if you are using the “Web application”, not the “Desktop app”, but in some cases users have reported that they get a “redirect URI error” with the “Desktop app”. In such case, I would suggest switching to the “Web application”. You have to specify the redirect URL in the “Web application” section (again, you can refer to the screenshot for 7b in the link above).

    Hello Sayontan.

Thank you very much for the reply. Don’t worry, you are on time. I am in the development phase of my own website and the answer and the help serve me perfectly.

I have done the test with both the web app and desktop options. In my case, neither of the two still works. The result is still the same, Error 400. I have gone through the annotations on this in your instructions and I don’t see where the error could be.

The Google Photos account is not the main account that I have associated with the web, I don’t know if that could be a determining cause. It is an account that I use only for photos.

If you need I can send you something else to clarify it just let me know.

Thanks again and sorry for the inconvenience.

Can you provide me with a screenshot for your “Web application” setup? It should look like this:

Under “URI de redireccionamiento autorizados” you also have to add the URL from Photonic that you are seeing in your first screenshot (https://bit.ly/3owIoOK). This link also shows up in Photonic → Settings → Google Photos → Google Photos Settings → Google Client ID.

OK – I think, if you put bit.ly links in your post, they go into moderation, and when that happens, you don’t get notified when the moderator approves. That is why I don’t get notified when you put in bit.ly links (I didn’t get your last post either).

    Hello Sayontan.

Thanks a million for your indication. Finally, it was just that, putting that link in the right place. And it has all worked out wonderfully. My wife and I are very impressed with the result, it is just what we wanted and we love the way everything looks and the amount of possibilities we have to adjust the albums to our page. It is all very easy and fantastic.

Again, thank you very much for all your effort and for this fantastic Photonic plugin.

With our five stars, we send you a small gift and our best wishes.
