Hello, we had been using yoast and noticed that after importing our site data from yoast to AIOSEO all our permalinks had been changed in the AIOSEO plugin and that the previous primary categories that had been selected in yoast where all gone. AIOSEO was asking us per page to reselect the primary category for each page. That does not work for a large site. Is there a way for AIOSEO to import our correct permalinks and previous primary category selection without having to start “all over again”?

    Many thanks,

    Hey @kj4940harris,

Unfortunately we currently do not support selecting the primary category.

With regard to the permalink changes you’ve mentioned, All in One SEO does not change your permalinks when you import data from another plugin. I don’t think our plugin can ever affect a post’s permalink in any way. Perhaps you ran into some weird conflict.

If you’d like our support team to take a look, feel free to reach out to us at https://aioseo.com/contact/ via our Basic Question form. We’d be happy to troubleshoot this for you.
