permalink is still the same

  • Hi! This plugin seems like exactly what I need. It seems to rename the file successfully and updates the page.
    But the permalink still shows as the same and the old file is still there too. Is there anything I can do about this?

    It shows the new filename at the bottom of the Edit Media page under “file URL” correctly.
    If I click the “permalink” it leads to a 404.
    It would be nice if it displayed the right, new file for the permalink.

    this is really strange, because Phoenix Media Rename doesn’t change permalink, so the original one must continue to work, on all my servers the old permalink continue to work.

    I don’t change permalink during the rename process because this could be a tricky process, I’m working on a new version that adds an option to let the user decide if the plugin have to change also the permalink, but I don’t know when it will be ready.

    Can you tell me which active theme and plugins are you using? I’ll create a test server with the same configuration to try to replicate your issue and address it.
