    Hello,

    This is a major issue with your sale system that I requested help with last year but I was told it was just WP Chron issue and did not actually receive help nor was the issue fixed a full year later.

    Black Friday/Cyber Monday weekend is the largest sale weekend of the year for the vast majority of eCommerce businesses and we are no exception. We have thousands of variations that go on sale usually from Thanksgiving through Cyber Monday. We do not have time to individually enter sale pricing or schedule dates for this many variations so we use the bulk edit drop down on variable product pages.

    Variations that have both the sale price set and dates scheduled using the bulk edit drop down within the product page turn off a day early (we lost sales).

    Simple products, sale prices set and dates scheduled manually as there is no other way, turn off a day late (we lose money).

    Only variable products in which I either manually set the sale price or scheduled the dates into each variation worked correctly.

    I have screenshots confirming the back end of the website clearly showing the sale still active and the front end showing no active sale for variable products that turned off a day early as well as a simple product that did not turn off the next day clearly showing the sale has ended on the back end but displaying the sale price on the front end.

    A great example is a product we sell that comes either colored or just as the raw aluminum. The raw aluminum variation is slightly cheaper so I manually entered that sale price. I bulk entered the sale price for the colored variations and they turned off a day early while the raw aluminum variation I manually entered the price of turned off on time. All within the same product page with the same sale end dates entered – the only difference was how I entered the price.

    This is not a WP Chron issue nor user error. I don’t really need support at this time as the sale window has ended but I am hoping this will be fixed by next year’s Black Friday/Cyber Monday weekend.

    There are a few details we’d like to ask you for us to accurately replicate the issue.

    – What timezone is selected in WP dashboard > Settings > General > Timezone option?
    – What is the timezone of your WP server?
    – Do you still encounter this issue after disabling all plugins (except WooCommerce) and switching to the default Storefront theme?

    Lastly, could you please share a copy of your site’s System Status? You can find it via WooCommerce > Status. Select “Get system report” and then “Copy for support”. Once you’ve done that, paste it here in your response.

    I am not really clear on how this could be a time zone issue if the problem is happening within a single product page.

    Our WP Engine Server is UTC and our WordPress is set to Denver.

    I will attempt to recreate on our staging site after disabling plugins with the default theme, however, I will be out of town until 12/6 so I will not be able to update you with the results until after that.

    Upon checking your system status it appears that you’re not running the latest WooCommerce version (5.9.0) and this can cause trouble. Please update WooCommerce.

    Let us know how it goes after disabling the plugins and switching to the default Storefront theme.

    Hello,

    Sorry for the late response. I simply do not have time this holiday season to devote to debugging your plugin. I will note this is a reoccurring issue that is taking place regardless of our WooCommerce version or active plugins. It has happened at least three years in a row with multiple plugin configurations and multiple WooCommerce versions.

    The fact remains that on a variable product page the sale turns off a day early if both the sale price and sale date were added using the bulk edit drop down in the Variations section of the Product data tab (Set sale prices and Set scheduled sale dates).

    Next Black Friday/Cyber Monday I will simply test if the plugin is still behaving this way and work around it if it is.

    If you can continuously reproduce it on your site with only WooCommerce and Storefront running, here’s what you can do.

    Open up a new issue at the WooCommerce GitHub repository. That’s where the developers keep track of bugs and fixes. You’ll want to give them the exact steps to follow to reproduce the issue.
