    Plugin: PayPal Pro for Woo

Is this plugin for just sandbox testing and not actually taking real sales?
Or is it part of a paid scheme with Woo?

I am Not in sandbox mode. I am live.
I put products in the cart. I go to check out. All the information is in there. I have an account created as a buyer – I’m logged in as a buyer (NOT the admin)
I put in my card number and every time I get this error: Payment error: This transaction cannot be processed. The merchant’s account is not able to process transactions.

I am using a different browser, I’m Not logged in to the site as the admin. I am Not logged into paypal, I am using a valid credit card Not associated with my paypal account.

Is it that this plugin is for testing sandbox and nothing else?

Please contact PayPal and request them to activate PayPal pro in your account. Then use the correct API keys in the gateway settings.

Let me know if you need more information.

    Thank you

More than 600 users are using this plugin including me, everything is working fine on sandbox as well Live mode.

It seems you’re account not is not PayPal Pro account or Pro is not enable so you need to contact PayPal to enable it.

Where are the step by step directions with screenshots that shows exactly how to create the API and where to go in your PayPal account to set your account to pro? I haven’t found directions.

Seems like you wouldn’t have so many questions if a link to the step by step instructions were included on the description page or if there was a link to the directions on the setup page when someone is trying to setup the plugin.

@stuckathomemom Document guide already in-progress and released soon.

As I said above, you just need to contact PayPal to enable Pro version, then you nothing to changed in plugin gateway setting. everything will be work fine after enable PayPal Pro from PayPal side.

Ok, when I log into my PayPal account, where do I go to enable Pro?
If enabling ‘pro version’ is a thing than it has to be doable from their site. The last thing PayPal wants is for people to contact them.

So when I login to PayPal where do I go to enable Pro?

As I know you can enable Pro version from your side, Please contact to https://www.paypal-techsupport.com/s/?language=en_US they will enable for you.

You just need to submit support ticket.

“As I know you can enable Pro version from your side” Great! How?

I know the first step, I login to PayPal. Then where do I go?

Where do I go next to enable this ‘pro version’?

This forum is for support, I’m not asking an unreasonable question here.
You’re the plugin author, but you don’t seem to know how it works. I don’t understand, you released a plugin without documentation and then pass the buck to paypal and refuse to help people who want to use it. (You: “Document guide already in-progress and released soon.”) I’m not looking for an argument, I’m looking for technical assistance.

So this has gotten worse in the last few days.
I read over the PayPal Payment Pro information on PayPal’s website and that information is not helpful. It goes on about PayFlow. Which one are we supposed to use with this plugin? Do we sign up for PayFlow?

I’ve contacted PayPal 3 times trying to get assistance with PayPal Payment Pro to no avail.
The client loves how your plugin looks – how do I get it setup?

Have you try https://www.paypal.com/us/webapps/mpp/paypal-payments-pro this page?

Using above URL you can directly signup.

    Thanks

Finally got someone at PayPal to email me late yesterday, they gave me a link.
My client filled out the form and was approved within a few hours.
Which is wonderful, but now what?

I created an API before, but I’m sure I need to create a new one.
Please, what options do I need to setup for this API and where do I go to do it? Is there a specific type or option I need?
I did the last one over a week ago while testing out all the different plugins, I don’t even remember where I went to do it.

    Thank you.

Also, why does everything on the plugin description page have to do with Sandbox mode?

Do you have directions for live mode? I’m not going to create a sandbox first, the site is already live. I need the plugin to work.

    Thank you.

I think I can do it if I knew which option to choose.

All the directions on PayPal start out like this:

    1. For live credentials, log in to your PayPal business account at www.paypal.com.
    2. Click the settings icon at the top of your PayPal account page and then click Account Settings.
    3. On the Account access page, click Update for the API access item.

But which do I choose after that?

    1. Pre-built payment solution
    2. REST API integration
    3. Braintree SDK integration
    4. NVP/SOAP API integration (Classic)

    @stuckathomemom

For PayPal Pro, you need to choose NVP/SOAP API integration (Classic)

    Thanks

For live mode, in the plugin setting you just need to unchecked sandbox mode and input live API details.
