Update failing “The package could not be installed…”

    Updraft Plus is failing to update on at least two of my sites (so far, this just started). I get the error “The package could not be installed. The package contained no files.”

    I tried removing Updraft Plus and reinstalling from a fresh download and I got an error saying it could not be installed.

    Any idea as to what’s happening here? WordPress is up to date.

    Hi,

    It seems like the download file is corrupted. To check can you try unzipping the file and see if you get any errors?

    I downloaded the file from the WordPress repository and it opened fine. Should I just upload that directly to my plugins directory via FTP?

    Hi,

    Yes, you can do that. Make sure to delete the folder and replace everything with the new file.
