    hi there,

thank you for a fantastic plugin, it’s generally very good and works well.

I’m having an issue with a Google Merchant feed with shipping weight. Most of the products work well, however we also use Woo Commerce Product Bundles and for these products the shipping weight does not get injected into the feed. I’ve also tried a custom field mapping “wc pb aggregate weight (Custom attribute)”, however still no go.

any advice please? This is our feed.

    thanks
    Kristan

    Hi,

Thanks for using our plugin and reaching out to us. I am going to assume you are using this bundle plugin? https://woocommerce.com/products/product-bundles/

If so, you should be able to add weight to your feed like this.

I created a test bundled product with a weight of “100”:
    https://www.dropbox.com/s/h4fcxr09x0i7cit/b-weight-1.png?dl=0

    Added this field mapping:
    https://www.dropbox.com/s/gr4dodd3hule38l/b-weight-2.png?dl=0

Resulting to this in the feed:
    https://www.dropbox.com/s/b2rh5o2645laous/b-weight-3.png?dl=0

As you can see the weight has been added to the feed so this does seem to work as expected?

    hi there,

thanks for your response – yes indeed it looks like we’re using the same bundling product.

However my bundled product looks different for some reason? I have to choose either an unassembled or assembled bundle type.

I’m using the exact same field mapping, g:shipping_weight <- Weight

But my feed does not contain a weight for this bundled item:

    <item>
    <g:id>7924</g:id>
<g:title>1 player Sanwa joystick bundle - matched colours Black</g:title>
<g:description>Choose your colour - this bundle includes a genuine Sanwa JLF-TP-8YT joystick, a Sanwa LB-35 balltop, 8 matched Sanwa OBSF-30 buttons, an encoder and a loom to wire it all up.</g:description>

I am not convinced we are using the same bundle plugin. This is the one that is supported by our plugin: https://www.dropbox.com/s/ieexzgsh1678v8f/bundled.png?dl=0

    Which one are you using?

    hi there,

yeah the same one, by SomewhereWarm. It’s been updated quite a few times from the version you’re running

We updated it to the latest version so the product edit page now looks the same:
    https://www.dropbox.com/s/txizw9ewksbz71t/b-weight-4.png?dl=0

The data however still ends up in our feed, see:
    https://www.dropbox.com/s/mcwhoxp7fxhc61o/b-weight-5.png?dl=0

So are you sure your feed is properly updating or you are not looking at an (old) cached version of your feed?

OK thanks for the reply. I’m fairly sure I’m not seeing a cached copy of the XML feed. However definitely something is fishy.

    For example, one product bundle:

    The weight comes through.

However a very similar bundle with the same settings:

I’ll have to investigate this bundle plugin… I’ve had issues with it in the past where marking some parts of the bundle optional seems to break things.

Whatever we try the weight keeps showing in our feed. Are you sure all settings of the second bundle product are identical to the first one?

The shipping settings are, but the actual bundle has different components. I’ll have to try changing the configuration of the products in the bundle to see if something strange happens.

    Hi,
