When we change the status of XPS shipped orders from “Processing” to “Completed” using the “Bulk actions” menu, all selected customers get the “Your order is now complete” e-mail. However, only the oldest order selected will receive their shipment tracking number. Every other order in the batch receives an email missing the Tracking information.

If we individually set each order to “Completed”, the tracking information is sent. Tracking also gets sent every time if we go into each order and “Send order email” for “Completed Order”. In fact, we have found we have to manually do so after a “Bulk actions”, which then sends customers a second e-mail, now with tracking information.

The WooCommerce team said that their e-mails don’t normally contain tracking information (and a plug-in would be required), so could this be a bug in the XPS ship integration module? We have no other shipment tracking plug-ins installed.

Hello, We will have to look at this and recreate it. I am wondering why you have to mark the orders as completed manually. The plugin should be doing that when all the items are shipped out, including the tracking number, as it is done individually.

That’s a good question. After we create the labels and the post office picks them up, we go through the orders and mark them as completed.

So perhaps you could explain the intended way it works. When is the XPS Ship Integration supposed to change the order to completed? After it arrives at a USPS distribution center? Just trying to understand how it’s supposed to work. Perhaps we’re not using it as you intended.

One other issue that we’re seeing is when we manually add a second tracking number, such as when an order needs to be shipped in two boxes, the return email shows two date fields, but one of them has a random date. For instance, today we shipped one of these and the two dates in the e-mail were like this (number replaced with X’s for privacy):

    Tracking Information
    Provider	Tracking Number	Date
    USPS	940553610899266146XXXX	December 1, 4858	Track
    USPS	940553610899266147XXXX	December 1, 2021	Track

    Thanks!

It is supposed to mark it completed when you book the shipment/ print the label. We can look into why this isn’t happening. We will need to look into the logging for this. If you are logged into XPS Ship, on the bottom right corner, there is a help button. Please send us a message letting us know your integration isn’t marking the orders as complete. That will be sent to my team to assist you.
The issue with Multi Piece shipments only updating with one tracking number is being worked on. I found this issue early this morning while testing out a new feature that is coming out. I would expect this to be fixed this week or next week at the latest.

Thanks for the update on the dates. I appreciate that you’re already working on it.

I’ll send an email through XPS. I’m wondering if it could be related to “Send Confirmation Email” being unchecked in the XPS WooCommerce integration settings. We like to send e-mails when the orders are picked up, not when the labels are created. That’s why that was unchecked.
