• Resolved celiakyle

    (@celiakyle)

As you can see below, I installed WordPress in a sub-folder “ckauthor” and have my home page at the main address, celiakyle.com. (It has been functioning just fine this way since 2007.) https://d.pr/i/L7RH25

Due to this mis-match, Jetpack is looking for the xmlrpc.php file at celiakyle.com, but it’s not going to find it there, it’ll find the file at celiakyle.com/ckauthor/. Since it can’t find the xmlrpc file in the “right” location, it’s not allowing me to activate and is throwing the following error:

Unable to insert blog. Please try again or contact support.

Any help from support is appreciated!

    Hi there,

Thanks for reaching out and explaining your site setup. I’ve internally updated your site URL to reflect the correct location of your WordPress installation: https://celiakyle.com/ckauthor.

Now, Jetpack is looking for the xmlrpc.php file in the “right” place and is able to find it. As a next step, reconnect Jetpack by following the steps on our support documentation:

    https://jetpack.com/support/reconnecting-reinstalling-jetpack/

Let us know how that goes and if there’s anything else we can help with.

    Hi there,

It has been more than one week since we have heard from you, so I’m marking this topic as resolved.

However, I have checked your site, and it appears to be connected to Jetpack now.

If you have any further questions or need some more help, you’re welcome to reply here or open another thread.
