I have entered on the tax settings page all EC countries and the name they use for their VAT locally. In all the pages generated by woocoomerce it is showing accordingly but when I print invoice and packing slip it is called VAT and not the local name set in woocommerce, is there a setting in the invoice settings that I need to change to get the correct name on the invoice instead of VAT?

    Hello @henrihappy,

Could you show us a screenshot of the order back-end screen (Edit-Order page) of such an order? What I’m looking for is the name of the Tax:

    multiple-Taxes-Backend

From the above, you can see that I have US & US-red as my taxes in this order & this is how they appear on my corresponding invoice PDF:

    multiple-Taxes-Per-Order

Taxes as they appear in WooCommerce > Tax > Standard Rate & Reduced rate respectively:

    us-red

    Hello @henrihappy,

By any chance, are you using the Premium Templates extension? If so, since this is a paid plugin, and www.remarpro.com doesn’t allow us to answer pre-sale or support questions here, please contact us by [email protected], in order to receive further help.

    Hello,

That is strange, I am on the demo version and I asked Ewout a fellow country man some questions a while ago, and he told me that for the free version I have to use the Forum and now you are telling me that the forum doesn’t answer support questions as well. I am a very small business and I do not need the premium version that is overkill.

So where do I direct my questions now?

Sorry, @henrihappy. I thought you were using Premium Templates, because this extension include a customizer that has the ability to override the tax name.

Back to your original question: Just to be sure, did you check your tax names for each tax class are what you desire, under WooCommerce > Settings > Tax > [Tax class] > Tax name?

As my colleague @dpeyou showed above, our plugin use the tax name for the VAT total row(s). So I suspect that should be the root of the issue.

    Hello,

I have this page, as you can see each countries vat name is given, don’t know where to enter it anywhere else.

    thank you.

@henrihappy in the free version of this plugin, the totals in the invoice will be identical to what you see in the email that is sent by WooCommerce to your or your client.

I think you may simply have enabled As a single total instead of Itemized for your VAT totals in WooCommerce. You can find this setting under WooCommerce > Settings > Tax > Display tax totals

If that’s already set to Itemized, could you check the totals in the email that WooCommerce sends and post a screenshot of that?

    Hi Ewout,

Yes you are right. The setting was single total and I set it to itemized. I tested it out on the staging site and indeed the name in the invoice changed. Will do some more testing for other countries next week with VPN when another plugin with geolocation goes into the testing phase.

    thank you.
