Please Assist Me Right Quick =) If You Would Be So Kind

  • I have 2 issues;

    1. On the homepage of my blog: https://www.fixaflawblog.com Do you notice under my first and only post it says “Paste your code here!”
    Well, I did not put that there, and I don’t know how to get rid of that…was it from some plugin I installed or something? How can I remove it?

    2. I installed a contact form script on my site, and when I click on ‘view’ under the “pages” tab of wordpress admin, I can see it – and it works, I tested it. However, when I go to the contact page of my blog directly via a link, like this: https://www.fixaflawblog.com/contact/ It is blank!! How can I fix this as well??

  • Have you tried:

    – deactivating all plugins to see if this resolves the problem? If this works, re-activate the plugins one by one until you find the problematic plugin(s).

    – switching to the default theme to rule out any theme-specific problems?

    The first issue is easy enough, edit the page in the html tab, search for and remove the “Paste your code here!” before the </div> listed therein.

    The second issue must be realted to your browser cache as the page loads fine when I go to the link. Contact form and all.

    @bcdunn619: I think you’ll find that there quite a few professional developers around here. There really is no need to keep asking for referrals.

    Thanks for the responses! As for your advice esmi I suppose I may have to try that.

    Bcdunn – I went to edit my post in the html tab and there was no “Paste your code here!” text…this same text is actually on my home page as well as on my about me page. I don’t understand where it came from nor how to get rid of it. :/

    Also, in regards to my contact form your right, I clicked on the link I posted and it does show, however then I’ll go from there to the home page and back again to the contact page and it is blank. I don’t understand this either…any other suggestions?

    Please be as specific as possible too…I’m a dummy yet haha.

    That annoying text is being appended to the post/page content – which makes a plugin the most likely culprit.
