When YOAST SEO Plugin is deactivated, the category drop menu is not visible and no products are shown on the website shop (across the whole site).

However, when activating the Yoast SEO Plugin It’s all getting back to normal, the category menu and the products are visible again. Does anyone have an idea what could be the cause of that?

    Hi @dovroc

We understand you have an issue where the category drop-down menu and products aren’t showing as expected when the Yoast SEO plugin is deactivated.

Could you please check if you are using the latest version of WordPress 5.8.2, Yoast SEO 17.5, and WooCommerce 5.9.0?

Often, we see problems occur in combination with another plugin or theme. The fastest way to rule out any conflict, is to deactivate all non-Yoast plugins and switch to a standard theme like Twenty Twenty.

Please test this on your development or staging site, if you have one. If not, we recommend using the Health Check & Troubleshooting plugin. This plugin has a troubleshooting mode, which does not affect normal visitors to your site.

If you’re unfamiliar with checking for conflicts, we’d like to point you to a step-by-step guide that will walk you through the process: How to check for plugin conflicts

If you do not feel comfortable to do this yourself or if this does not solve your issue, our Yoast SEO Premium plugin comes with one year of (technical) support.

    Hi @dovroc

    Thanks for your response.

Yes, a conflict check (starting from a default WP theme, and only Yoast SEO 17.6 and WooCommerce as the plugins activated) would allow us to pinpoint where the issue is coming from if there is indeed a conflict with another plugin or theme on your setup.

Please do let us know once you’ve been able to perform the conflict check and your findings on this.

    Thanks!!
