Need Theme Suggestion – Side by Side Columns??

I want to start a political blog where the right and the left view on a topic can be posted side-by-side. In other words, liberal on the left and conservative on the right. Everything seems to be set for over/under and I need things to be side by side. I have heard this referred to as “his and hers” format.

The blog will be edited by myself and my “counterpoint” partner, so we will be the only ones entering the opinion articles. We will accept comments under each column.

Sidebars are not all that important, but would be fine if they were there.

I want things to be very symmetrical; like two even boxes representing each day. In other words I want the comment boxes for each day to be perfectly even and not start and end on different planes. If the only way to accomplish this is to type spaces at the end of one column in order to end it with the one containing more text, that would be OK I suppose.

I have yet to see such a theme.

I would appreciate any help anyone may be!
