    Good afternoon.
We have closed groups that use bbPress, BuddyPress and Better Messages.
We encountered a problem with messages for the group:
    – when we created a group, the 1st and subsequent messages were received by ALL registered participants in the group. Everything worked fine.
    – when new members join the group, they are not automatically added to the group mailing list, do not receive group messages and Better Messages does not show them in the group mailing list. Only old members are shown and continue to receive group messages.
Question: What should be changed in the plugin settings so that when new members are added, they are automatically added to the list of recipients of messages for group mailing?
    Thanks.

Will check, I actually tested with Private and Public groups, but probably Hidden has some specific hooks. Will let you know.

    Hi there!

    Try version 1.9.9.98.

You will also need to remove or add someone to group to trigger synchronization of group members in chat.

    Thanks!

Thanks a lot for your lovely plugin.

    Good afternoon.

After upgrading to version 1.9.9.98, a new issue appeared in the “hidden” group.

When in the menu of mini widgets “Friends / Groups” (located at the bottom right of the browser), a site user opens the “Friends” tab and “clicks” a friend’s chat (with whom he already has a mini-chat), the “New dialogue” window opens.
Before the update, the mini-chat was opened (and it was right).

I really liked the way you did adding users to the “new dialog”.
The “Start new conversation” panel and the line of avatars look very nice and convenient. Many thanks. 5 stars.

And one more old problem in the “hidden” group: e-mail with messages are sent even when the user is online and receives a notification banner that “pops up” at the bottom right of the browser window.

Is it a configuration problem or is the group type “hidden”?

    Thanks.

Probably mini-chats option is disabled in plugin settings?

Im not sure what you mean about group conversations notifications.

The notifications shouldnt be sent for that group or what?

    Thread Starter digitalformationxyz

    (@digitalformationxyz)

    Mini chats option enabled.

E-mail notifications should be sent when the user is off-line.

E-mail notifications are received by on-line users.
    This is redundant and unnecessary.
They already see a “pop-up” message notification window.

I will check if I can reproduce online users to be able to receive emails.

    Good afternoon.

    Nothing changed…

I will redescribe the problem (Attention: Group – “hidden”):
    – When in the menu of mini widgets “Friends / Groups” (located at the bottom right of the browser), a site user opens the “Friends” tab and “clicks” a friend’s chat (with whom he already has a mini-chat), the “New dialogue” window opens.
Before the update, the mini-chat was opened (and it was right).
    – And one more old problem in the “hidden” group: e-mail with messages are sent even when the user is online and receives a notification banner that “pops up” at the bottom right of the browser window.

Is it a configuration problem or is the group type “hidden”?`

    Thanks.
