Run Ads in web stories

    I am new to wordpress.
    Currently, I am using auto ads to display ads on my website.

    If I am correct, I believe auto ads do not run on web stories. So, I followed THIS ARTICLE to enable ads for the web stories. However, I am not able to understand what should I do after 7th step. I have no idea what 8th, and 9th step are telling me to do.

    After step 7 I received this- This is displayed after step7. Should I copy HTML CODE or AMP CODE?

    Can You explain stepwise in detail where to proceed next after step 7.

    Will I need AMP theme to run ads on the web story?

  • Hello and thanks for getting in touch. There is built in support in Web Stories for Google AdSense and Ad Manager so you don’t have to follow the guide you have provided.

    This can be configured in the Stories > Settings > Monetization. All you will need to do is select an ad network, then enter the publisher ID and ad slot ID. You don’t have to add any scripts to the page as the plugin does this all for you after you fill in these settings.

    You will not need the AMP theme as this is not required. Hope this helps but let me know if you have any further questions.
