I had trouble with this when I tried it with 1.2, and now I’m having similar problems with 1.5. My wordpress files are all downloaded to my root directory. My actual blog is at https://www.junkycat.com/weblog, and it’s password protected. I tried copying the index file to the /weblog directory, but all I’m getting is a blank page. What am I missing? Please help.

Instead of downloading all the WordPress files to your root directory, you should’ve downloaded them to the /weblog directory.

the problem with that is that the /weblog directory is password protected, which brings up errors if I have wordpress installed into it. What I’ve ended up doing is having a double installation of wordpress into the root and /weblog. I run almost everything from the root files, but I have to use the /weblog install to update my template. It’s a mess, but I haven’t found a better solution yet.

First, did you reset the Blog address under Options > General?
