Trouble with a caption…..

  • So.. I added a photo to a post via the flash engine.

    ‘coupla minutes later, I decided on what caption I wanted, and I typed it in- made a few edits and saved… then look at the post.. caption was not showing at all.

    weirdness, thought it might be the cache… tried elsewhere- no dice.
    tried re-editing it, and it worked.. caption appeared under the thumbnail

    Bit later, thought better of the phrasing in the caption (decided a hotel mentioning DIRECTLY the word “roach” might not be so swift) so I edited it to something a little more oblique–

    and it shows the caption with the word roach in it– and I can’t find where to edit the second pages caption..

  • If you added the caption after you inserted the image, you will need to re-edit the post and re-insert the captioned image.

    thanks for the speedy reply.
    I’m looking to edit/remove the caption on the second link-
    the page I get when I click the thumbnail in a post.

    that page has text I do not want visible to the public
    and I can’t find where to edit it…

    Try editing the image’s info via the Media Library.
