Email not sending for revenue monthly report

Thanks for reporting this issue regarding emails for the last months revenue report.

Could either of you start us down the troubleshooting road by sending us your system statuses here? You can find it via WooCommerce > Status. Select “Get system report” and then “Copy for support”.? Once you’ve done that, paste it here in your response.

I then tried replicating this on my own site, luckily I had enough test transactions from the last month to trigger the email. I did receive my email though, which is good news at the least.

I’d then be curious just to confirm that all other emails on your site work as well. The transactional ones from WooCommerce, and then any other reports (as mentioned) do get emailed too. Just for some odd reason neither of you receive the last month revenue report?

Finally out of curiosity, since you can see the file that should be sent to you, what is the final size of that report?

I’ll be marking this forum thread as solved, but for those having similar issues, here’s my answer:

I’ve ran a test on my site and I see that the email was sent out, so it looks like this isn’t a bug in WooCommerce plugin.

As a first step, you may want to install the WP Mail Logging plugin, trigger the report email and check if the email is marked as “sent” in wp-admin >> Tools >> WP Mail Log.

WooCommerce relies on the default WordPress wp_mail() function to send emails from the server the site is hosted on, and that is not always reliable since most servers aren’t configured for optimal email deliverability.

If there are any errors in wp-admin >> Tools >> WP Mail Log – let us know (open a new forum thread and provide a screenshot or copy the exact error message) and we will investigate further. You can upload screenshots to a service like snipboard.io and paste links in your reply.

If you won’t see any error messages in WP Mail Log (the email will be marked as sent) – this is most likely a deliverability issue.

Deliverability issues can be hard to address due to the complexity of modern anti-spam filters so the most effective step is to sign up for an SMTP service:
