I have gone through previous forum threads and tried to implement the suggested solutions but doesn’t work so opening up a new one.

In GSC, I get Cart, Check-out and Shop pages marked as no-index. I followed the advice to set them up as ‘noindex’ in Yoast SEO i.e. not to show in search results – that way they were supposed not to show in SiteMap anymore and I could re-submit to GSC.

All pages are still shown in my SiteMap, which suggests the setting doesn’t work. I also cleared all cache including server cache.

    Any suggestions?

    Thank you,

    Marcela

    Hello Marcela,

Thanks for reaching out regarding your pages.

You mentioned that you have set the cart, checkout and shop pages as noindex. However, on checking the page sitemap at https://nayavita.com/page-sitemap.xml, these pages are not included. Could it be that we are having a hard time identifying/recognizing the corresponding URLs in the sitemap? Please share the URLs with us.

Looking forward to hearing from you.

    Hi @marcinayaadmin

Upon trying to check your sitemap again, it seems to be loading as a 404.

Please do refer to this article to see how to resolve this issue – https://yoast.com/help/my-sitemap-is-giving-a-404-error-what-should-i-do/

    Hi Michael,

I checked the Sitemap and it seems to load fine from the webpage footer as well as directly. It also the Broken Links plugin to see if there are any 404s and the search came out empty. Further, my friend checked and again, no problems.

I was doing site updates last night when I briefly deactivated all plugins to check something so it might be that you were checking exactly at the same time and got the 404.

Can you check again please. Btw, the Checkout and Shopping bag pages still show in Sitemap, even though they are set not to.

    Hi Michael,

I can still see all of the above pages in my Sitemap. I have requested GSC to validate that the fix has been successful but concerned, that since they still show in Sitemap they might still be flagged by GSC as nonindex.

The setup between Yoast SEO and WPML is done correctly on my site so should not have an impact.

    Hi,

We’re checking on https://nayavita.com/sitemap_index.xml and the 5 sub-sitemaps (post, page, product, product category, product tag) and we were unable to locate the cart page in any of them.

Could you provide us with a URL of the sitemap where you are still seeing those pages? Or a screenshot (uploaded using snipboard or imgur) and sharing the link here?

Please do try refreshing the sitemap and cache and see if this would help as well – https://yoast.com/help/sitemap-does-not-update/

    Hi,

Sorry about the delay. I have checked and the pages are no longer showing as no index so it worked!

    Many thanks.
