How to edit my homepage/Theme page

  • Hi,
    I can’t find out to edit my homepage text. It isn’t in the “Pages” menu.
    I believe it is under Apperance->Customize?

    In the link below, a person has the same problem. They figured it out but I can’t locate the settings he talks about.
