Most themes unavailable

  • I’m new to wp. I did a quick install of wordpress through my web hosting of version 2.9.2, but it appears to be missing a lot of the themes. I want the themes called Structure or Cutline, which I saw on wordpress.com.

    Here’s my site https://www.jamesede.ca. It’s the Citrus theme which I would really like to change.

    I think that it’s no longer hosted at wp themes extend directory.

    Just download the ZIP and go to appearance, add new theme, and upload the zip. It’s a nice theme. Never used structure tho.

    Hi Alex
    one more question about Cutline. I uploaded the theme no problem, I’m just having trouble editing the header. In my dashboard under Appearance there is no Header option. Is the only way to edit the header through the html code? I don’t know html, so I might have to choose a different theme.

    Hello Sabrina,

    yes you can do it from Appearance -> Editor. Depends what you are trying to change. If you only want to change the header picture, you can just upload your own header from Media -> Add New and then just change it on header.php using the editor.

    Hi Alex,

    I can’t believe I did it, but I managed to change the header using the Editor! Thanks so much. I was terrified to touch all that code in the Editor part because I thought I might break my blog.

    It’s not showing any header now, but that’s a start. I figured out what file was for the header. I’m copy and pasting anything I change just in case.

    Thanks so much. I’ll email you if I can’t replace the header with my custom header.
