• Hi, we’re using the latest version of ShortPixel and WP Offload Media premium. We found that there is a tickbox option in ShortPixel on the Advanced tab called:

Optimize PDFs – Automatically optimize PDF documents.

When that is unticked the uploaded documents do not get uploaded to our bucket. WP Offload Media doesn’t get triggered. If I tick the option in ShortPixel then the files do get uploaded correctly.

I’ve posted a similar message in their support forum as well. I know I could of gone the private premium support option route but I thought it might be useful for others who have the same problem.

ShortPixel asked for some more info so I’m posting same reply here for clarity:

If the “Optimise PDFs” tickbox is not ticked then when I upload a file to the Media Library I see ShortPixel does not activate (which is correct) but nothing else happens. WP Offload Media makes no attempt to upload the file to S3. There is no error. The file just sits in the uploads directory.

If I tick the “Optimise PDFs” tickbox then when I upload a file to the Media Library I see the ShortPixel droid animation at the top and when it finishes then WP Offload Media uploads the file to S3.

If I disable ShortPixel and upload a file then WP Offload Media begins the upload to S3 almost immediately.
